Minutes from meeting number 109

A.G.M.

Minutes of the 109th Annual General Meeting of the Manchester Pickwick Club held at the Moorside Social Club on 15th April, 2015
The meeting was opened at 8.06 p.m. with Ben Allen as vice-chairman.
Dodson announced that in accordance with the usual practise, the AGM would be a free evening and claimed that Mivins’ minutes were incorrect when they suggested that he had advised at the last AGM if Snodgrass was present at that meeting he should be sent home as free evenings didn’t apply to him. Snodgrass said he had taken advantage of the free evening at the 2014 AGM, adding that the thought of another free evening was the only reason he was attending this year!
The Secretary’s report outlined attendance records and referred to a letter from Alfred Jingle explaining why he hadn’t been able to attend the March meeting plus a letter from Steven Jarvis trying to sell his recently produced book. He advised that the club had introduced a new Mr Pott during the year although attendances had generally been down.
The 2014 Treasurer’s report had been presented by Mivins in the absence of Dodson but the treasurer was present this year and his report was approved by the members
